Do You Get The Picture?

Take the contents of your bedroom and dump it all in the middle of a gallery and call it art. Spend fifteen years painting small squares of colour on huge canvas. Place house bricks on the floor and, oh you know what I mean. Is this what art is about or do you prefer looking at paintings that resemble something like a photograph from a different time? Pisspots and Portraits delves into the often controversial world of Art. Come and see the show at Roman Eagle Lodge Studio from 4th – 27th August and decide for yourself. Using movement, music and stunning visual interpretation, this devised ensemble piece will take you on an interactive journey of art today.

(Whitebook productions is a company of five actors, a director and designer who have been part of the InterACT training scheme based at NTC Touring Theatre Company, Alnwick. Each of the company members have been on placements gathering professional work experience with theatre companies throughout England. After the success of last years performance Telling Tales this year’s company has decided to return the Fringe Festival to continue the high profile of the InterACT scheme. The company are also hoping to continue touring the show in the North-East
